From two perspectives I think it\u2019s important\u2026um\u2026exploration is really what separates humans from, from other living, moving \u201cspecies\u201d and, if, we decide that where we are today is \u201cit\u201d\u2026um &#8211; I\u2019m not saying there aren\u2019t things to learn about here on Earth &#8211; but it just seems kind of like a big disappointment, that, we\u2019d say \u201cokay we\u2019re here, this is it, we\u2019re done\u201d &#8211; you know \u201clet\u2019s just\u2026hang in there, till then end\u201d. Um, it just seems like a not very inspirational, ah, outlook and perspective. And the other piece &#8211; which is the scary piece &#8211; and um, it\u2019s really risk management. For humans. The uh\u2026I think the probability of a significant event happening on Earth is &#8211; is very high. Ah, or &#8211; \u2019scuse &#8211; when will it happen? I don\u2019t know when it will happen but I\u2019m pretty certain there will be a catastrophic event and ah it would be nice to have humans living in more than one spot. Um\u2026yeah\u2026I think that\u2019s important. It\u2019s risk management for humans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why Mars?
